You may also attend meditation with Ma Jaya. During darshan (to see and be seen by the light), Ma shares her unique teaching and offers an opportunity to be immersed in the silence and depth of your being. In the event that Ma is not teaching, there will be satsang lead by one of the Swamis or senior teachers.

Experience darshan (meaning to see and be seen by the light) with Ma as she shares her unique teaching and offers an opportunity to be immersed in the silence and depth of your being.

We begin the evening with kirtan (chanting), Ma will give darshan and a guided meditation. Prasad (food that's been blessed) is offered after darshan. Baby sitting for children is available.

Proper dress for darshan is requested - tops with sleeves, trousers/pants or long skirts - no shorts.
6:00 PM (alternative program) Satsang at Kashi

In the event that Ma Jaya is not in residence, there will be satsang lead by the ashram's Swamis or senior teachers. Join us for kirtan (chanting), meditation and spiritual exploration.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Kali Natha Yoga - taught by various teachers Kali Natha Yoga consists of unique flow series that includes classical asanas, pranayama, mudras, mantras and meditations. This system of yoga can be used to strengthen, to calm and to go to a deeper spiritual place. It is a profound transformative tool and a moving prayer. Kali Natha Yoga can be practiced by anyone at any age and in any physical condition. There are no levels - classes are open to everyone.
Meditation - with Swami Moksha Ram Meditation is a tool that helps you to calm the breath and still the mind. Meditation can help you to relieve stress and tension in your life, as you learn how to regulate the breath. It balances the nervous system and offers tremendous physical benefits. You will learn specific techniques and use them in your daily life. These classes are open to everyone.
Taekwondo - with Acharya Rudra Das and Acharya Durga Das Learning Martial Arts gives you physical conditioning, discipline and self-confidence. In each class you will learn Tae Kwon Do forms, self-defense training and will engage in sparring. Anyone of any age level and in any physical condition can participate. These classes are taught by 5th Degree Black Belt Masters. There are quarterly rank tests.
Chanting Join us in this ancient exploration of sound and music through devotional chanting. You do not have to be a singer or even have a good voice; this is music that comes from the heart. Chanting can be a form of meditation using sound.
Vinyasa Yoga - with Ram Priya Vinyasa yoga flows from one asana to the next while incorporating specific pranayam (breathing) rhythms. It is frequently choreographed by the instructor and may vary from class to class.
Power Vinyasa Yoga A more strenuous class. Flowing from one movement to the next while incorporating specific breathing patterns. This is a very energizing class.
Gentle Yoga - with Ganga Mayee This class uses gentle and simple stretches, postures, movements, breathing and meditation and is geared for beginners, people with health challenges, injuries and for seniors.
Ashtanga Yoga - with Parthena Ashtanga Yoga is the system of Yoga taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. This method of Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.
Sunrise Yoga - with Jayanta Sunrise Yoga is designed for all levels offering a gentle introduction to yoga for the beginner and a spiritual essence that will inspire even the most advanced yoga practitioner. This class incorporates the popular Sun Salutation yoga sequence as well as other vinyasa flow series.  Build strength and flexibility of mind and body and discover your compassionate heart.
Prosperity Yoga - with Jayanti This class focuses on Kali Natha Yoga asanas that invoke health, wealth, wisdom, happiness and prosperity. This is an all levels class, suitable for everyone.
Plus Size Yoga - with Mata Giri Yoga is for everyone!
Breath Class - with Babaji Learn how to connect with your breath and use the breath to deepen your life. As you learn to control the breath, you will better control the rhythms and patterns in your exercise program and in your daily life.
Qi-Gong - with Joanne Patrick Qi-Gong is an easy and fun to do flowing meditative movement with conscious breathing that assists with mind and body connection, universal life force awareness, and body alignment. It stretches muscles and massages the internal organs.
Fighting Dance     Qi-Gong - with John Walcott This high-energy fat burner is a Cardio-vascular blast. Blending the best of three worlds the dance like, rhythmic movements of capoeira and the muscle toning properties involving the execution of martial arts techniques and finally the anti-oxidation and mind centering practices of moving Qi- Gong exercises.
Lecture Series - with David Brown A long time teacher of student and teacher of Vedanta, David is leading a 8 week course on the Bhagavad Gita from March to May. When that is finished he will start a course on the teachings of Ramana Maharshi. Call the office for more details.
