Ma Jaya teaches from a depth of wisdom and practicality which allows us to return again and again to turn over the words, and bring them into our moment. Ma is a consummate story teller, using words to paint a picture or illustrate a point that otherwise might be hard to grasp. These stories are often simple but profound, similar to the way that Swami Nityananda and Neem Karoli Baba taught.

Enjoy!

GANESHA

Ganesh is the favorite of the gods and goddesses. He is the elephant headed god. He, who is the son of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, is loved beyond love. Ganesha is revered as the keeper of the Mother Earth and the protector of the Goddess in all her many forms. It was Ganesh who wrote down the Mahabharata and the Bhagavad Gita with one of His tusks. That’s why one tusk is missing on statues.

As the remover of obstacles, Lord Ganesha waits, lifetime after lifetime, at the base of the spine to move the obstacles of your life out of the way. The biggest obstacles in the seeker’s life are samakaras. Samskaras are those habits that are brought into this lifetime from all lifetimes. Over and over the same mistakes are made.

If you truly want to rid yourself of all karmic debts, then sit in the stillness of Ganesha’s love and feel His greatness. You begin to put yourself in His strong and steady hands. He becomes your protector. Not even karma of the worst sort can stand up to the great Lord Ganesha.

Pure love is a complete state of being. Lord Ganesha is the giver of love in its unconditional form. The personality of the ego cannot live when the heart chakra carries the great light of Lord Ganesha deep inside it.

Every time life takes you out of your heart, call on Shiva’s son, Ganesha. He will hear you and bring you back to the cave of the Mother, the fourth chakra. One can get in touch with the absolute self through the powers of Lord Ganesha. All avenues of life can be explored from this sacred place of unstruck sound. All avenues can be felt from this heart of God who dwells in our own being. Ask him to remove all gates, all obstacles, and all closures so you will understand what it is to be loved.

I, the Mother, bow to Lord Ganesha and ask Him to remove any obstacle, any form or habit, samskara, truth, untruth that takes us from the moment.

With love, Ma Jaya
