YOGA - LIVING FULLY IN THE MOMENT

We practice yoga to become more conscious. Yoga is not only physical; it is a spiritual practice and an ancient philosophy that embraces all paths. Yoga arose from India’s rich spiritual heritage; it is a spiritual practice, one that is authentic and juicy. Once you begin to practice with awareness, you become more aware of your own spirituality and vitality. Spirituality is not defined by any one church or religion; it is defined by our own spiritual humanness – our ability to feel compassion, connection and love.

The practice of yoga is designed to awaken the feeling of embracing life within us and expand it – to become aware of the reality that all things and beings are connected, to realize that love is the fabric of the universe and to live from these truths. We learn to become aware and to experience that awareness in the breath and in the body.

Yoga teaches us to live fully in the present moment, and in so doing we free ourselves of the past and of the future. Yoga is not just an exercise system; it is a full-fledged spiritual tradition. Exploring it in this light creates a whole different experience; it opens and engages every possible level of your being.

As the breath becomes more and more relaxed, the heart can be felt and heard. As the body moves in yogic delight, you begin to see through the veil of illusion. You are a manifestation of the supreme self; you only have to tune into your mystical heartbeat. All this day, try to listen to your higher mind in all situations. Yoga gives you the ability to know your heart.
