FEAR

Everyone is given the continual opportunity to grow closer to God. Yet it is when you get the closest that you are the most afraid. When you are filled with love and you want to change the situation because of fear, know that you are following an old moment. Memories of fear may come up as you walk toward the light; begin to understand this so you do not sabotage yourself. Keep on going, and learn to love yourself unconditionally every day.

Sometimes God can be frightening; sometimes that fear lies in knowing yourself. The reason you become afraid is that you do not want to know yourself, and you fear being alone with yourself. The fear of not getting things done is the cause of procrastination. Driven by fear, you become afraid to commit to the moment.

Fear rents space in the darkness of negativity. Fear can evict you from your higher Self. Jealousy, anger, and hatred come from fear of losing everything. That clinging becomes the dry thoughts of a miser. Fear has you believe that there is no more room at the top; therefore, you must settle for a lesser life.

When you have fear in your life, you also have anger. Anger is a kind of self-defense against the fear of losing control. This feeling comes from the fear of being hurt. There is the great fear of separation. Yesterday’s attachments stick to today’s fears.

It is not the fears that take up all of life as much as it is the thoughts of fear. The ego says, “What is going to happen to me?” The heart says, “What is – is!” Fear always tries to eliminate itself by pulling back and isolating us, and we become stingy with anything that concerns our own feelings."
