Many low-income earners quite often eat very processed, unhealthy meals because of the expense, and those same provisions are all that most food pantries can afford to offer.
Studies have shown that eating in a community setting facilitates social interaction, which is critical to each individual’s psychological health, as well as personal growth, development, and aging.
In addition to making friends and feeling engaged, there are opportunities to give back by volunteering with organic farming, meal preparation and cleanup.
Please help support those in need by giving generously. Any amount is gratefully received and is used entirely for the purpose of serving food that is cooked for the heart and soul as well as for the body.
Come and enjoy Kashi’s delicious, organic vegetarian meals on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 5:00 to 6:15 pm.
