Sita Jaya Blakeslee

Sita and Ma went way back to the early days in New York, and both growing up Jewish they had a lot in common. This was perhaps the edge that allowed Sita the boon that no one else ever got, of being able to impersonate Ma at our holiday festivities! She was a natural comic (as was Ma), and would have us all howling with laughter.

Sita taught in The River School for many years and was also always part of the background team of organizers for our major events in the days when Ma's birthdays had 500 guests in a marquee tent. Her other gift to Kashi and Ma was her daughter, Jewel Lotus.
